The Suncrest Ranch has produced many top Champions of the POA breed including Suncrest Kandi Bar, Suncrest Big Mac, Suncrest Doughboy, Suncrest Tattoo, Suncrest Pied Piper and Hall of Fame inductee, Suncrest Ms Tattletail. The ponies are all broke to halter, some are broke to ride, all are breeding eligible for those looking to improve their herd. The ponies are all sound, well bred, ready for new homes and priced for quick sale. Weanlings, Yearlings, Two-Year-Olds and broke ponies. Featuring:

Suncrest Sandman

Suncrest Lacy Patches X Suncrest Poker Chip

SuncrestsandmanwithPat.jpg (24741 bytes) 100_4298.jpg (23662 bytes)

This is a four year old stallion who has most if not all of his Grands and Reserves, plus many Regional and local Halter points, and should be nearing his ROM(H). He is gentle, willing and broke to ride. He has done some reining work, and is currently with Stacy Lair for rail work and fitting. Very well built with extremely unusual coloring: blaze with a frosty blanket on a silver dapple base coat. Would make EXCELLENT flashy show gelding - he's quiet now, and would be super quiet if gelded. Large, but not a height problem. This boy is already a great show pony, and is ready to take the next step!

Please contact Pat Patrick and come out to the ranch to see any of the Suncrest ponies.  Don't be afraid to make an offer!

This colt is a super flashy prospect that will halter in the Yearling and In-Hand classes this year and Longe Line next year. Too Busy Being Fabulous

Indy's California Debut X Watch Bell Bounce

Tango was the 2009 Cal State Yearling Colt, Longeline, and In Hand Trail Futurity Champion, as well as overall Futurity Champion. He was Reserve Grand Champion at the Southwest Regional against Mature Stallions. He is worth his weight in gold due to his temperament alone, his great build and small size are just a plus. This young stallion is stalled in a pipe shedrow between another colt and a gelding and you would NEVER know he was a stallion. He will be an awesome rail and performance pony as his dam is a World Champion over fences and has rail titles as well. Pretty, even, natural mover with a great jog and lope. Pretty extended trot and canter. Tango loves jumping over poles in the arena, and will be awesome in reining - he can sit and turn on a dime.

~ Tango is in training to drive and should be hitched and driving by the end of the year (2009)~

We will be standing him to a limited Number of Mares in 2010, book now - 2010 FEE: $ 275.00, includes first collection and AI, Shipped Semen available (additional fees will apply). 100.00 non-refundable booking fee to reserve breedings.

Please call for current price.

SELLER'S NOTE:  My name is Rachel Koch.  I was in the Oregon POAC from about 1995-2002.  I am putting both of my POAs up for sale because I can only afford to keep one; I will keep whichever pony does not sell first. My email address is rakkoch@gmail.com.  I live in Dixon, CA near UC Davis.  My horses are stabled on Travis AFB.  I will be COMPLETELY up front and honest with any potential buyers regarding both the pros and cons of my ponies because I want someone who really wants them and won't turn around and re-sell in a year.  I will be including some of the ponies' things with their sale including any of their left over grain or supplements that I may have at time of sale.  Other tack and accessories will be purchasable as well.

J-N IMPRESSIVE GOLD

aka "Pressy" #31,300

Gold Prince X JN Mye O Mye

Supreme Champion

 21 y/o mare, bay roan w/ blanket and spots  55 1/2" PHC.
permanent brand inspection, and certificate of permanent registration.

Pressy was born at Judith Katzenberger's.  Her sire is Gold Prince, Premier Sire, POAC Hall of Fame. (Prince's Fury (ApHC) X Money Creek's Gold Bar (ApHC)). Pressy's dam is J-N Mye O Mye, (Jackpots My Daddy, X J-N Rae of Hope).

My mom purchased Pressy 10 years ago.  I used her for halter, jumping, and gymkhana in the POAC.  In the Oregon High School Equestrian Team I used her for gymkhana, drill team, team penning, and a showmanship/in-hand trail event.

I currently use Pressy as a lesson horse for an 11 year old girl.  Her rider takes her to local schooling shows and competes in English, Hunter, and Jumping classes.  She's currently being jumped up to 2'6", but has gone higher; her current rider just doesn't feel ready. People who knew Pressy in the past may not know that we have worked successfully with her to make her a more "hunter" pony.   Pressy is a very sweet natured and happy pony who has never required a crop or whip.  Though she is an older mare, she shows no signs of slowing down.  She loves to work...especially jumping, gaming, and team penning (she has many trophies and blue ribbons from all her events).  I've also used her for trail riding.  If you got into a sticky situation on the trail with her, you can trust her to get you out of it.

$2,500 obo.

(Editor's note: I was at the World Show and saw Pressy perform during the Jumping class. "WOW".)

WHISKY RIVER

#28,598

J's Not so Big X Smokie Alki (AQPA type)

25 y/o  red dun with snowflakes gelding 54 1/2" PHC
permanent brand inspection, and certificate of permanent registration.

 Supreme Champion

My mom purchased Whisky 15 years ago.  I used him mainly for halter, showmanship, English pl, western pl, western riding class, and trail in the POAC.  I did, however, jump him for a couple years and gamed him to get his timed ROM.  I also used Whisky in the Oregon High School Equestrian Team for drill team, team penning, and the in-hand trail/showmanship event.

I currently use Whisky as a lesson pony for 4 children (ages 8-12) some of which had never ridden in their life.  Whisky's favorite activity is trail riding (nothing on the trail scares him; he'll go anywhere).  He is a good show horse for riders 12 and under.  He especially excels in trail, showmanship, English, and Western Riding class (he does flying lead changes).  He is a very smart pony that loves to be outdoors but also has no problem doing arena work all day.  He has had extensive training in all his years of showing.  Whisky is certainly not a worn out 25 year old.  He has plenty of energy and likes to be worked.  No veterinarian has ever guessed him to be as old as he is and they always say he's in great shape.  Some of his characteristics worth pointing out are:  he's sure footed, almost nothing spooks him, I trust him enough to crawl under him.  He teaches my students strength and confidence, and that is the kind of rider he likes best.

 $1,200 obo.
